Rumor Claims Next Year’s ‘Call of Duty’ Will Be Set in Korea, Possible Title ‘Modern Warfare 사’
There are a lot of unknown aspects to the tentatively titled Call of Duty 2026 game, which is set to come out next year, according to the information we have. It’s a big mystery in which way the franchise is going, which has the fans both excited and a tad worried.
At the same time, with so many question marks hanging over our heads, leakers and people who like to share rumors are having a great time, as uncertainty about the franchise’s future leaves a lot of space for discussion.
In light of that, a new set of rumors about the upcoming game – which could be titled Modern Warfare 사 – has appeared, and we are going to go through them in this article in detail.
Call of Duty fans are having a good time. This year’s game is expected to be Black Ops 7, a direct sequel to Black Ops 2, which is also going to include a remaster of a classic map, according to the most recent leaks. But we’re not going to talk about that one, as everything has been more or less said about that title.
What interests us is the tentatively titled Call of Duty 2026 game, which could be a very interesting addition to the Modern Warfare line, according to the rumor in question:

So, it seems that the 2026 game will be set in Korea, both North and South, which will account for a very interesting in-game storyline, we are certain. In light of that, the game’s possible title could be Modern Warfare 사, as “사” is “4” written in Korean.
As far as the plot is concerned, the rumor reveals that 141/SAS/Republic of Korea will be the three major factions available to play with, while the goal will be to take down Makarov and the Konni Group, who are doing false flags to start World War III.
The rumor also claims that the game will be set in the modern period and will be mostly accurate, with some degree of futuristic tech available.
Of course, this is just a rumor, but the claims don’t seem that odd, so it could end up that at least some of them turn out to be true. Of course, until we get an official confirmation, take them with a grain of salt. Until then, be sure to keep following us for more!
