Leaked ‘Thunderbolts*’ Sentry Concept Art Surfaces, And It Outshines the Final Design
Marvel’s latest movie Thunderbolts* has officially introduced a new chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film brings together a group of unlikely characters and puts them on a risky mission, forcing them to rely on each other. But beyond the team-up, it also plants seeds for major future events in the MCU.
One of the most important changes is the formation of a new team, now called The New Avengers. This new lineup marks a shift away from the original Avengers, suggesting a fresh direction with new leaders and different kinds of heroes.
The movie also gives more depth to characters who were once seen as questionable. John Walker (U.S. Agent) and Ghost, for example, are no longer just side characters with unclear motives. The film gives them more personality and growth, helping audiences better understand where they stand.
Another major focus is Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. In Thunderbolts*, she moves into a more serious role as someone who’s clearly pulling strings behind the scenes. The film shows that she has real power and influence, and she’s not someone to underestimate.
Still, for many comic book fans, the biggest moment was the debut of Sentry. Known in the comics as one of the most powerful Marvel characters, Sentry brings a huge level of strength and danger to the big screen.
Actor Lewis Pullman plays the role of Robert Reynolds, and according to fans and critics, he did a solid job showing both Sentry’s strength and his inner struggles.
Pullman’s version of the character stays close to the comics in terms of costume and general look. His performance shows the mental conflict inside Sentry, especially the darker side known as The Void. It’s a character with a lot of power but also a lot of pain.
Recently, concept art of Sentry from the film leaked online. Many fans believe the early artwork looked more impressive than what appeared in the final version of the movie. This is something that happens often with MCU films—early designs are sometimes more creative, but get changed before release.
Thunderbolts* is directed by Jake Schreier and written by Eric Pearson and Joanna Calo. It stars a large cast, including Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, and Lewis Pullman. The film is now available for streaming on demand.
