Vince Gilligan’s Upcoming Mysterious Sci-Fi Drama Drops Fresh Trailer
Vince Gilligan, the creator of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, is returning with a brand-new science fiction drama called Pluribus (stylized as PLUR1BUS). The show will stream on Apple TV+ and has already released a new trailer ahead of its debut.
The series stars Rhea Seehorn in the lead role, reuniting her with Gilligan after their work together on Better Call Saul.
Apple has already committed to two seasons of the show, with the first season set to launch on November 7. The premiere will feature two episodes, and the rest will roll out weekly until December 26.
Enjoy your stay, Carol.

Pluribus takes place in Albuquerque and follows Carol Sturka, played by Seehorn. She is a writer who discovers that she is the only person immune to a strange new virus.
The infection doesn’t kill people—it makes them permanently happy and optimistic. The trailer gives a first look at this unsettling world where forced joy spreads like a disease.
The cast also includes Karolina Wydra as Zosia and Carlos Manuel Vesga as Manusos, along with guest appearances from Miriam Shor and Samba Schutte.
Gilligan first pitched the idea in 2022, shortly after wrapping Better Call Saul. Apple TV+ won the rights to the project and announced a two-season order. In an early interview, Gilligan described the show as a fresh step away from the crime stories he is known for. Production, however, faced delays due to the 2023 WGA strike. Writing for the last episodes of the first season was interrupted but later completed when the strike ended.
Filming finally began in February 2024 in Albuquerque, under the working title Wycaro 339. Shooting lasted about seven months and finished that September. Apple officially revealed the title Pluribus in July, when the release date was confirmed.
Now, with the first trailer out, fans are getting a clearer look at what Gilligan has been building. The footage shows an eerie mix of drama and science fiction, setting the stage for something very different from his past work.
