‘South Park’ Takes Aim at Benjamin Netanyahu in Latest Episode
In the fifth episode of South Park’s 27th season, the long-running animated show dives into controversial political territory while exploring the latest internet fad: prediction market apps.
Titled “Conflict of Interest,” the episode sees Kyle and his mother caught up in betting apps, which Stan describes as “social platform betting. People can make any bet they want and users take them up on it.”
While the story starts with the kids navigating these unregulated apps, the plot quickly shifts into sharper political satire.
The episode takes aim at FCC chairman Brendan Carr following his real-life comments about Jimmy Kimmel, who Carr warned TV stations could face consequences over. South Park doesn’t mention Kimmel by name, but the show makes its stance clear: the FCC should not pressure media outlets to silence voices critical of the President.
The storyline also takes a darker, absurd turn with President Trump and the ongoing bizarre subplot involving Satan, who is pregnant with Trump.
Much of Trump’s chaos ends up falling on Carr, who faces a series of cartoonish, exaggerated misfortunes. At one point, he’s hospitalized and depicted with his hand in a cast performing a Nazi salute, while a doctor warns that toxoplasmosis from cat litter could cause him to “lose his freedom of speech.”

The famous animated series South Park has decided to dedicate an episode to Netanyahu.
"Netanyahu. Who do you think you are? You kill thousands of people……You make life difficult for Jews and impossible for American Jews.” pic.twitter.com/tO80fcPC41
Another highlight is South Park’s treatment of Benjamin Netanyahu. The episode portrays Kyle’s mother confronting Netanyahu instead of Palestine itself, offering a clear distinction between criticizing a political leader and generalizing an entire group.
Meanwhile, Sheila Broflovski delivers a strong moment of moral clarity, standing up to Netanyahu in a scene that mixes both humor and pointed commentary.
The episode also lampoons other figures connected to the Trump administration. Donald Trump Jr. is shown as a scheming “strategic advisor,” while JD Vance is cast as an emerging threat, potentially poised to replace Trump in the political landscape. These caricatures highlight the show’s ongoing critique of the Republican Party and government complacency as it depicts a slide toward authoritarianism.
Overall, “Conflict of Interest” combines fast-paced, interwoven storylines with sharp political commentary. Fans have praised the episode for delivering the biting satire South Park is known for while tackling current events. With the next episode set for October 15 and subsequent installments airing every other week until the December 10 finale, the season promises to continue mixing absurd humor with pointed social commentary.
