Jennifer Lopez, 56, Dazzles in Glamorous Gown at Governors Awards
Jennifer Lopez made a striking appearance at the 16th Governors Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, wearing a black and ivory Tamara Ralph F/W 2025 couture gown.
The 56-year-old actress, who recently became a global ambassador for a diamond company, drew attention in the strapless dress that featured a black velvet hourglass-inspired panel and long opera gloves. The ivory sections were accented with sheer black tulle, giving the gown a dramatic and slightly gothic touch.
JLo completed her look with her signature honey-blonde hair in a loose updo and delicate drop earrings with pearls and diamond accents.

The actress has been receiving praise recently for her performance in her latest film, Kiss of the Spider Woman, which hit theaters on October 10. Fans watching the trailer over the summer were impressed by her acting and musical skills, with some even predicting an Oscar nomination.
In the movie, Lopez plays Aurora, an imagined figure created by Luis Molina, a jailed gay hairdresser. The film, also starring Tonatiuh and Diego Luna, is based on the 1993 Broadway musical adaptation of Manuel Puig’s 1976 novel. Luis imagines Aurora in films as a way to cope with his time in prison. A previous film version was released in 1985, directed by Héctor Babenco.
Lopez also acknowledged the role her ex-husband Ben Affleck played in bringing the project to life. “The movie wouldn’t have been made if it [weren’t] for him and Artists Equity…I will always give him that credit,” she told CBS Sunday Morning in September. She added, “They financed it. I told him this was the role I was born to play and I wanted to do it, and he was like, ‘Okay,’ and he helped make it happen.”
