‘Breaking Bad’ Creator Reveals Saul Goodman’s Next Move
Vince Gilligan, the creator behind Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad, recently gave fans a glimpse of what he thinks happened to Saul Goodman after the series ended in 2022.
In a conversation on The Rich Eisen Show, Gilligan offered his humorous take on the fate of the fan-favorite character, played by Bob Odenkirk.
When asked about Jimmy McGill, aka Saul Goodman, Gilligan joked that he believes Saul was pardoned by Donald Trump. “I think Trump pardoned him,” Gilligan said, prompting laughter from Eisen and the crew. He added, “Kind of tracks. I think he’s a free man. I think he’s doing infomercials.”
The interview also touched on Huell, Saul’s bodyguard, though Gilligan admitted he wasn’t entirely sure what became of him. “To me, I think he’s out living his life. Huell was a rogue, a bit of a criminal, but he was a good pickpocket,” Gilligan said.
Gilligan didn’t stop at Better Call Saul. He also shared his thoughts on the lives of Breaking Bad characters like Skyler and Walt Jr. He hopes both have moved on from their difficult pasts. “I think they got their life back together,” he said, suggesting Skyler may have found happiness and Walt Jr. might be writing a book about his father or hosting a podcast.
Gilligan’s comments give fans a lighthearted and imaginative glimpse into the world of characters they’ve followed for years, leaving plenty of room for speculation about what really happens next.
