Charlie Sheen has spoken out about his father Martin Sheen’s comments on President Donald Trump, criticizing the timing of the attack.

The actor shared his thoughts during a recorded episode of “The Megyn Kelly Show” on Friday. According to Charlie, he wasn’t upset with what his dad said, but he felt the moment was poorly chosen, coming just as Trump was finalizing a peace deal between Israel and Hamas.

“His timing on that thing was really s****, man,” Charlie said. “And I told him so, but then I had to take a step back…because it’s the unpleasant things that we have to grant freedom to as well, right?”

Charlie explained that he wanted Martin to consider the context of the situation. “I was like, ‘Dad, the timing, the timing, man. You got to read the room.’ Because [Trump] brokers the peace deal and the entire universe is celebrating, and Dad’s with Nicole Wallace. And I was like – again though, free to express how he felt. But he could have done that, like, on Wednesday.”

In October, Martin Sheen appeared on Nicolle Wallace’s podcast, “The Best People,” where he criticized Trump, calling him “the biggest nothing in the world” and urging him to “get in touch with that humanity…Speak from your heart and start being human. That’s what you were made for, not golf.”

Charlie’s comments highlight the tension between personal opinion and public timing, especially when it comes to political events with global attention. He seemed to respect his father’s right to speak freely but wished the remarks had been shared at a less sensitive moment.
