Kim Kardashian’s New Show Renewed for Season 2 Despite 3% Critics Score
Kim Kardashian’s legal drama All’s Fair is officially returning for a second season on Hulu, despite harsh reviews and a very low critics score. The Ryan Murphy-created series was renewed before the first season even ended, proving that strong viewership can outweigh critical opinion.
The show, which premiered on November 4, became the most-watched scripted Hulu debut in three years. Hulu reported that All’s Fair racked up 3.2 million global views in its first three days. Critics, however, were not impressed.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the series holds a 4% approval rating based on 26 reviews, with the consensus reading, “Too awful to love, too boring to war over.” Metacritic scored the show 18 out of 100, indicating “overwhelming dislike.”
Kardashian, who stars as Allura Grant, responded to the criticism with humor on Instagram, posting, “Have you tuned in to the most critically acclaimed show of the year!?!?!?” Co-star Glenn Close joined in on the joke, referencing Critic-Bunny Stew, a parody of her classic movie Fatal Attraction.
The series also stars Naomi Watts as Liberty Ronson, Niecy Nash-Betts as Emerald Greene, Teyana Taylor as Milan, Matthew Noszka as Chase Munroe, and Sarah Paulson as Carrington Lane. Critics targeted the writing and Kardashian’s performance, often calling the series one of the worst television shows ever made, but audiences clearly tuned in regardless.
