Fan-Favorite Heroes Seemingly Confirmed for Both Upcoming Avengers Films

More than a year has passed since Deadpool & Wolverine arrived in the MCU, and fans are still talking about where the two heroes could show up next.

The film made over 1.3 billion dollars worldwide and was one of Marvel’s biggest recent wins, but both characters have been quiet ever since.

People online have been guessing about their next moves. Ryan Reynolds is already developing another Deadpool project, and Hugh Jackman is expected to appear in Marvel’s new X-Men reboot.

Now a new update from Forbes has given fans something more concrete to work with. According to the outlet, both actors may return sooner than expected. Forbes writes that “Deadpool and Wolverine are also expected to star in the MCU’s next two kid-friendly Avengers movies.”

If true, this would place the pair in both Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Marvel has said very little about Secret Wars so far, but Doomsday is already known for having one of the largest Marvel casts ever.

The movie is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, with a script by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely. The cast list is stacked with stars such as Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, Simu Liu, Tom Hiddleston, Pedro Pascal and Robert Downey Jr. The story brings together the Avengers, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Wakanda and more as they face Doctor Doom.

Only basic details are available for Secret Wars, which is set for release on December 17, 2027. What has been confirmed is that the main Fantastic Four cast from Doomsday will return for the movie.

If the new report from Forbes is correct, Marvel seems ready to keep Deadpool and Wolverine active in the MCU. Their surprise return in Deadpool & Wolverine was a major reason the movie became such a hit, so it makes sense that Marvel would want to carry that momentum into its biggest upcoming films.
