Jason Statham Thrills in New Trailer for Action-Packed Film ‘Shelter’
A new trailer for the upcoming action thriller Shelter has just been released, giving fans a first look at Jason Statham in the lead role.
The film is directed by Ric Roman Waugh, with a screenplay by Ward Parry, and also stars Bodhi Rae Breathnach, Bill Nighy, Naomi Ackie, and Daniel Mays.
Shelter follows the story of Mason, played by Statham, in what promises to be a high-stakes, intense action experience. The film is set to hit theaters in the United States on January 30, 2026, and is being distributed by Black Bear Pictures.

According to industry reports, the project was first introduced at the 2024 Cannes Film Market as an untitled action film featuring Jason Statham. At the time, Baltasar Kormákur was attached as director, with filming planned in the UK and Iceland.
By February, Ric Roman Waugh had taken over as director, and principal photography began in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Bodhi Rae Breathnach, Bill Nighy, Naomi Ackie, and Daniel Mays joined the cast, with filming taking place in Enniskerry in March. The film’s official title, Shelter, was revealed in October.
The newly released trailer highlights Statham in thrilling action sequences, hinting at intense chases, fight scenes, and high-stakes drama. Fans of Statham can expect the film to deliver the fast-paced action he is known for.
