Comedian Jimmy Kimmel took aim at President Donald Trump over his plan to host a UFC fight on the White House lawn. The event is set for June 14, 2026, which also happens to be Trump’s 80th birthday. Kimmel roasted the idea on his show, calling Trump a “child” for wanting the fight.

“Whose 80th birthday theme is inviting men to beat the c**** out of each other on his lawn? The most miserable son of a b**** in the world, that’s who,” Kimmel said.

Kimmel pointed out that the UFC weigh-ins will be held at the Lincoln Memorial. “That is not a joke,” he added. He criticized the contradiction of people defending the flag while being fine with fighters in their underwear at the foot of Abraham Lincoln. “But it’s his birthday, he has to have a party for his birthday. What a child he is. Everyone around him treats him like he’s three years old,” Kimmel said.

The comedian and Trump have been longtime adversaries. Kimmel was suspended from ABC for six days after threats from Trump’s Federal Communications Commission Chair in September. Since returning, he has continued to call out Trump on his show. Kimmel’s contract has also been renewed through the 2026-2027 season.

Trump first mentioned the UFC event during the Kennedy Center Honors. He said a 5,000-seat arena is being built for the fight. UFC CEO Dana White confirmed the event back in September, calling it “The White House fight.”

Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, who holds a blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, is reportedly helping with the event. Trump has been a longtime UFC fan and has worked with Dana White since hosting fights at his Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City in the early 2000s.

Trump claimed the event was not planned for his birthday. “It’ll be on Sunday night, June 14, [on] Flag Day. It happens to be my birthday, but I didn’t do it for that reason. ‘Sir, we like the June 14 date.’ I said, ‘Yeah, that’s my birthday,’” he said.

Kimmel joked that Trump acts like a toddler and described several of his “childish” habits. “He needs a lot of attention, so they let him have a press conference every day. He needs immediate gratification; they give him a Diet Coke button. He gets constant praise for nothing: ‘Oh, you did so good! Look how big you are! Your MRI is perfect!’ He takes nap time often in the middle of a meeting.”

“They order him McDonald’s. He gets ice cream after dinner every night. He loves to use a Sharpie when he’s not supposed to. He wants to hear the same two songs over and over again. And he wears diapers. He’s 3 years old,” Kimmel said. He added jokingly, “If we could just get him to start watching CoComelon instead of Newsmax, problem solved.”
