Empire has released the first look at Rebecca Ferguson in the upcoming Peaky Blinders film, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.

The movie continues the story of the hit British TV series that aired from 2013 to 2022. Cillian Murphy returns as the lead, Thomas Shelby, alongside returning cast members Sophie Rundle, Stephen Graham, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, and Ian Peck. New additions to the ensemble include Ferguson, Tim Roth, Jay Lycurgo, and Barry Keoghan.

Directed by Tom Harper and written by series creator Steven Knight, the film is set to hit select theaters on March 6, 2026, with a Netflix release planned for March 20, 2026. Ferguson’s involvement adds star power to the already impressive cast, and fans are eager to see how her character will fit into the gritty world of Birmingham gangsters.

The original series, which ran for six seasons, concluded in 2022. Even before the final season aired, Knight had hinted that a feature film might continue the story. Cillian Murphy, in a 2023 interview with Rolling Stone, shared his excitement about returning to Tommy Shelby’s character, saying, “If there’s more story there, I’d love to do it. But it has to be right.” Later that year, Knight confirmed he was finalizing the script for the feature-length continuation.

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man promises to bring the same intense storytelling and high-stakes drama fans have come to expect, now on the big screen. With Empire giving fans a first glimpse of Ferguson, anticipation for the film is already building.

This film could be a thrilling way to revisit the world of Peaky Blinders while introducing fresh characters like Ferguson’s. The combination of returning favorites and new faces should make for an exciting continuation. What do you think about the upcoming film? Share your thoughts in the comments.
