The first look at Daredevil: Born Again season 2 has fans excited as Jessica Jones and Daredevil return to New York for another fight against crime.

Charlie Cox, who plays Matt Murdock, teased what’s coming in the new season, explaining that while season 1 focused on Wilson Fisk’s rise to power, season 2 will show what it takes to maintain that control over the city.

Only a short time has passed since the season 1 finale, but New York is still under Fisk’s lockdown. Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel Television, hinted at the tone of the new episodes, saying “a lot of heavy themes,” and “a lot of dark moments and tragic events” are coming. He also described Daredevil as “a revolutionary in this season…He’s a rebel and it’s fun to see him go up against the power of the city.”

In the previous finale, Mayor Fisk, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, took control of New York, banned vigilantism, and painted Daredevil as America’s Most Wanted. Now, Matt is assembling his own team to take down the tyrant.

This includes the arrival of Krysten Ritter’s character, a wise and tough detective whose full role remains secret. Winderbaum confirmed her presence is “comparable to the presence of Jon Bernthal’s Punisher in season 1.”

Charlie Cox compared the new season to a French Revolution story. “It feels like one misstep and loved ones disappear. You are taken, there’s no way out,” he said, describing the dangerous and claustrophobic world Matt now faces.

Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page plays a bigger role this season. Cox praised her performance, saying, “Her role is the best it’s ever been. She is a badass in season 2. We get to see a side of Karen Page which I think Charlie and also Matt Murdock have always known is beneath that surface.”

Elden Henson returns as Foggy Nelson, whose absence continues to affect Daredevil deeply. Fans can also expect appearances from Punisher, who escaped Fisk’s prison in the last season, though the details remain under wraps.

The cast includes returning actors Vincent D’Onofrio, Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, Ayelet Zurer, and Tony Dalton. They are joined by Krysten Ritter.

Filming for the second season took place in New York from February to July, with multiple directors including Solvan Naim, Iain B. MacDonald, and Angela Barnes.

The second season is set to premiere on Disney+ on March 4, 2026, and will consist of eight episodes as part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel confirmed a third season in September.
