Sam Raimi’s new survival thriller, Send Help, has fans buzzing after ScreenRant released a new look at the film, starring Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien.

The movie follows two colleagues who are stranded on a deserted island after surviving a plane crash, and must navigate tension, dark humor, and their own survival skills to make it out alive.

Rachel McAdams plays Linda Liddle, while Dylan O’Brien stars as her boss, Bradley Preston. The story focuses on their struggle to work together despite past grievances, as the situation on the island becomes increasingly intense. 20th Century Studios describes it as, “an unsettling and darkly humorous battle of wills and wits to make it out alive.”

The project was first announced in October 2019 when Columbia Pictures revealed that Sam Raimi would direct a horror film written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. Over the years, the cast came together gradually. Rachel McAdams entered talks in October 2024, followed by Chris Pang in December. By early 2025, Dylan O’Brien and Dennis Haysbert joined the project, confirming McAdams’ role as well.

Filming took place from February to April across Sydney, Los Angeles, and Thailand, according to production reports. The movie is set for release in the United States on January 30, 2026, through 20th Century Studios.
