Kate Hudson dazzled on the 2026 Golden Globes red carpet, bringing old Hollywood glamour with a modern twist. The actress, nominated for Best Actor by a Female in a Motion Picture for her role in Song Sung Blue, arrived in Beverly Hills wearing a sparkling Giorgio Armani Privé gown that perfectly captured the glitz of the 1970s with a nod to 2000s style.

The Oscar-nominated star plays a member of a married Neil Diamond tribute act in Song Sung Blue, a film set in the 1970s that highlights the vibrant world of performance circuits. For the red carpet, Hudson wore a gown from Armani’s spring 2007 collection, updated for 2026.

The dress featured a liquid silver fabric that flowed elegantly along her frame, a halter neckline, and sleeveless design. Strings of sparkling jewels cascaded down the gown, and a bias cut allowed the skirt to move beautifully with her every step.

Hudson accessorized the look with jewelry from Garatti, a frequent collaborator of her stylist Sophie Lopez. Her overall presentation combined old-school glamour with a modern sensibility, perfectly reflecting her role in Song Sung Blue.

Throughout the press tour for the film, Hudson has continued to embrace a retro-modern style. For the New York premiere, she wore a Valentino gown, while at the Berlin stop she made a bold statement in a sheer, electric blue custom Vera Wang dress. In London, she wore a floral-embroidered number, continuing her theme of channeling her character through fashion.

At last year’s Golden Globes, Hudson appeared as a presenter, wearing a strapless Carolina Herrera ballgown from the pre-fall 2025 collection, paired with a statement jeweled necklace. She has often favored sheer or dramatic silhouettes for the event, including a sheer black Valentino gown in 2018 and a plunging white Versace dress in 2015.
