Anne Hathaway shared a bold throwback on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse of her 2016 style with a latex corset and a miniskirt that barely covered anything. She captioned the post, “Daphne Kluger-rubber-dress-Ginger-heart-wooden-spoon-homemade-Zootopia-Halloween-I-voted-with-a-smile,” highlighting her playful and daring side. The post quickly drew attention, earning over 2.1 million likes as fans reacted with excitement and admiration.

The post reminded many of Hathaway’s fearless fashion choices, mixing a touch of nostalgia with her signature confidence. While 2016 was years ago, the photo shows that the actress has always been willing to push style boundaries.

On the career front, Hathaway has remained busy. Her first project in 2024 was Mothers’ Instinct, a thriller remake of a Belgian film, where she played a grieving mother alongside Jessica Chastain. Hathaway said she created a “protective layer” around herself for the role and asked the cast to call her by her character’s name, explaining that the story’s loss of a child represented her “worst fear.” While Peter Bradshaw of The Guardian felt Chastain’s performance overshadowed hers, Hathaway’s dedication to the role was widely noted.

She then starred in the romantic comedy The Idea of You, playing a divorced mother who starts a romance with a younger pop star. The New York Times’ Alissa Wilkinson praised her performance, saying the film “succeeds mostly because of Hathaway’s performance” and complimented her chemistry with co-star Nicholas Galitzine.

Looking ahead, Hathaway has an impressive lineup for 2026. She will star with Michaela Coel in David Lowery’s Mother Mary, lead David Robert Mitchell’s sci-fi Flowervale Street, reunite with Christopher Nolan on the historical epic The Odyssey, and appear in a film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s thriller Verity.

She is also set to star alongside Adam Driver in Ron Howard’s war drama Alone at Dawn and reprising her iconic role as Andrea “Andy” Sachs in The Devil Wears Prada 2, scheduled for May 2026.

Hathaway continues to balance daring fashion choices with challenging and varied roles, proving her range both on-screen and off.
