Wild Things is a biographical drama based on the hit podcast Wild Things: Siegfried & Roy, which was created by Steven Leckart. The series aims to explore the complex partnership and personal lives of the German-American entertainers. For over 30 years, Siegfried & Roy were the undisputed kings of the Las Vegas Strip, known for their dangerous and dazzling performances involving white lions and tigers.

The narrative will follow their meteoric rise to fame, culminating in the tragic 2003 tiger attack during a show at the Mirage that left Roy Horn permanently injured and effectively ended their stage careers. Development for the series was first announced in October 2022, with John Robert Hoffman attached to write and executive produce. Matt Shakman, who gained acclaim for his work on WandaVision, was hired to direct the pilot episode, setting the visual tone for the series.
Filming officially began in January, utilizing the backdrop of Las Vegas to ensure authenticity. The casting process was highly selective, with news breaking in May 2025 that Law and Garfield had secured the lead roles. By September, the production added Justin Theroux to the cast to play Steve Wynn, the casino mogul who was instrumental in the duo’s Las Vegas residency.
The supporting cast is filled with recognizable talent, rounding out the entourage and business figures surrounding the magicians. Darius Fraser has joined in the recurring role of Toney Mitchell. In October, the ensemble grew to include Brett Gelman as Bernie Yuman and Jessica Madsen as Lynette Chappell.
Justin Bartha has been cast as Ken Feld, while Cameron Britton will portray David Neal. Bill Heck completes the recurring lineup as Jimmy Lavery. This extensive cast suggests the series will delve deep into the business machinations and interpersonal relationships that fueled the most expensive show in Vegas history.
Apple TV+ has not yet announced a release date for Wild Things, but the production timeline suggests a potential premiere in late 2026 or early 2027. The streaming service continues to build a reputation for high-budget, star-studded dramas. This series looks to be a major contender in future awards seasons given the pedigree of the talent involved.
