Nicole Kidman Escapes to Antarctica With Daughters After Keith Urban Legal Split
Nicole Kidman has crossed something huge off her bucket list. The actress recently revealed that she traveled to Antarctica with her daughters, calling it one of the most meaningful trips of her life. The news comes directly from Kidman herself, who shared the experience on Instagram.
In her post, Kidman confirmed that Antarctica was her seventh continent. She thanked the cruise company that helped make the trip happen and shared how special the journey was for her family. “Thank you @SilverSea for taking me to my 7th continent!” she wrote. She also added, “It was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure with family and friends.”
The photos showed just how intense the trip was. In one image, Kidman and her daughters are bundled up in heavy red and black snowsuits, clearly dressed for extreme cold. They are wearing sunglasses to block the glare from the snow and ice. Another photo shows a calmer moment, with Kidman standing on the ship’s deck in a white jacket, smiling as massive glaciers rise behind her. She also shared a quiet scene from inside the ship, where she is seen reading while the vessel moves through icy waters.
Fans reacted quickly to the post. Many commented that it was rare to see Kidman share such personal family moments. The trip stood out not just for the location, but also for its timing.
According to a source who spoke to media outlets, the getaway came after a period of major change in Kidman’s personal life. “Nicole spends a lot of time with her girls,” the source said. “She loves family time.” The insider added that the trip helped her reset, saying, “She is refreshed and optimistic about the new year.”
The source also shared that life has settled down since the holidays ended. “They’re all settling back into their routine,” the insider explained. “Things have been calm.”
The calm follows a difficult few months. Court documents show that Kidman recently finalized her divorce from country singer Keith Urban. The filing was submitted on January 6, officially ending their marriage about three months after she filed. The documents state that both sides agreed to waive child and spousal support and to cover their own legal costs. Kidman cited “irreconcilable differences” when she filed.
Despite the personal changes, Kidman remains extremely busy with work. The same source said she is “looking ahead to a busy and exciting year professionally too, with several projects coming up.”
Kidman continues to be one of the most active stars in Hollywood. She has found huge success on television with shows like Big Little Lies and The Undoing. More recently, she appeared in Babygirl and led Netflix’s The Perfect Couple.
She is also preparing for her next major role in Scarpetta, a series based on the novels by Patricia Cornwell, where she will star alongside Jamie Lee Curtis. The project is being developed for Amazon Prime Video.
Along with acting, Kidman remains deeply involved as a producer through her company Blossom Films. She is known for supporting stories centered on complex women and has built a career that continues to evolve decades after her first major roles.
