Dafne Keen Sets Social Media on Fire With Jaw-Dropping New Photo
Dafne Keen recently shared a glamorous photo on Instagram that has quickly captured the attention of fans across social media. The 21-year-old Deadpool & Wolverine star snapped the photo in striking makeup to promote the work of her talented makeup artist, Sarah Hill. The post highlights a more sophisticated side of the actress, who has spent much of her young career portraying gritty and fierce characters.

Keen’s rise to prominence began with her breakout role as Laura in the 2017 film Logan, a performance that earned her international acclaim. Following that success, she starred alongside Andy García in the comedy-drama film Ana, directed by Charles McDougall. Although the film faced a series of delays before its 2020 release, critics praised Keen’s charisma and presence, with some even comparing her to a younger Natalie Portman.
In 2022, Keen joined the cast of the Star Wars series The Acolyte, created by Leslye Headland. Headland specifically developed the character of Jecki Lon for Keen after being impressed by her work in Logan. To get into the mindset of the character, Keen reportedly listened to David Bowie and joked that her character’s appearance mirrored the legendary musician. The series eventually premiered on Disney+ in 2024, further cementing her place in major fan franchises.
The year 2024 proved to be a massive milestone for the actress when she made a surprise return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Reprising her role as Laura in Deadpool & Wolverine, she reunited with Hugh Jackman for what became the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time. This project stands as her most successful release to date, dominating the global box office as the second-highest-grossing film of that year.
More recently, Keen has been exploring the horror genre, starring in the film Whistle directed by Corin Hardy. The movie follows a group of high school misfits who stumble upon an ancient Aztec death whistle that summons terrifying forces. Fans can expect to see this project in theaters very soon, as it is scheduled for a North American release on February 6.
Looking ahead, the actress has several high-profile projects currently in the works. She is set to star in Night Comes, which marks the feature directorial debut of Jay Hernandez. This survival thriller features Keen and Samantha Lorraine as sisters fighting for survival after a cataclysmic event. Additionally, she has been cast as the goddess Artemis in the third season of the popular Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
Outside of her film roles, Keen has shared that her acting style is influenced by icons such as Meryl Streep, Gena Rowlands, and Olivia Colman. She is also a fan of classic cinema, citing musicals like Singin’ in the Rain and dramas like In the Mood for Love as some of her personal favorites. Her upcoming film Driver will see her taking on the role of Camden, a young woman in London, while also serving as an executive producer.
Are you looking forward to seeing Dafne Keen take on the role of Artemis in the next season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians in the comments?
