Lily James Sparks Romance Rumors After Cozy Pub Outing With Hollywood Stuntman
Lily James is trading the glitz of the red carpet for a quiet evening at the pub as she enjoys some downtime during her busy filming schedule in the United Kingdom. The 36-year-old actress was recently spotted at the Red Lion in Fareham, where she spent a cozy Friday night in the company of professional stuntman Bobby Hanton.
Onlookers noted that the pair appeared to be in high spirits, laughing and leaning into each other while engaging in a friendly game of pool and interacting with local patrons.
The unexpected visit was documented by the establishment on social media, highlighting the stars’ approachable nature during their night out. Tonight we had a visit from Downton Abbey’s Lily James alongside Thor stuntman Bobby Hanton, the pub shared on its Facebook page. The post further noted that the duo enjoyed a drink and a game of pool plus gained a new miniature fan club with staff kids, suggesting a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere for the Hollywood visitors.

James and Hanton reportedly formed a close bond while working together in Australia last year on the high-octane thriller Subversion. The film features Hanton’s frequent collaborator, Chris Hemsworth, with whom the 41-year-old stuntman has worked for over a decade as his primary double.
During the production, both James and Hanton shared glimpses of their behind-the-scenes life on social media, with the actress posing in a stunt team t-shirt while Hanton shared images of his ongoing professional partnership with Hemsworth.
James’ professional life continues to move at a rapid pace following her critically acclaimed portrayal of Pamela Anderson in the miniseries Pam & Tommy. The actress has been increasingly focused on action-oriented roles, leading to industry insiders jokingly referring to her as a “Sylvester Stallone type.” She is currently preparing for the release of the highly anticipated Cliffhanger reboot, set to debut in August 2026, where she takes over the lead role originally pioneered by Stallone.
In addition to her work in the Dolomites for the mountaineering thriller, James has a packed slate of projects reaching audiences throughout 2026. Her voice will also be heard in the upcoming animated sequel The Angry Birds Movie 3, and she has recently wrapped production on the psychological thriller Harmonia and the action-noir Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo.
