Dakota Johnson Steals the Spotlight at Valentino Haute Couture During Paris Fashion Week
While the Parisian runways are often filled with predictable glamour, Dakota Johnson’s appearance at the Valentino Haute Couture show proved that a new era of romanticism has officially arrived.
On January 27, the actress took her place as the ultimate muse for Alessandro Michele, the visionary creative director now at the helm of the Italian house. Dressed in a striking look from the Valentino Pre-Fall 2026 collection, Johnson bridged the gap between old-world elegance and modern edge.
The event, which served as the official debut for the Pre-Fall 2026 line, was a masterclass in Michele’s signature maximalism. Johnson’s ensemble featured a rich interplay of textures that has become a hallmark of this new chapter for Valentino, characterized by a soft power that doesn’t need to announce itself.

Beyond her front-row duties in Paris, Johnson is currently navigating one of the most prolific periods of her career. She recently wrapped production on the highly anticipated psychological thriller Verity, based on the bestselling novel by Colleen Hoover.
In the film, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 2, Johnson plays Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer who uncovers dark secrets while ghostwriting for a legendary author played by Anne Hathaway. The project also stars Josh Hartnett and is directed by Michael Showalter, who previously worked with Hathaway on The Idea of You.
In addition to her work in front of the lens, Johnson is preparing to make her feature directorial debut with the film Trudy Blue. The project, which she is developing through her production company TeaTime Pictures, is a personal story written by her Cha Cha Real Smooth co-star Vanessa Burghardt.
On the personal front, the 36-year-old actress has been making headlines for her recent romance with musician Role Model, also known as Tucker Pillsbury. The pair has been spotted on several cozy dates in Los Angeles following her split from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in June.
