Margot Robbie stepped out in London this week as she continued promoting her upcoming film Wuthering Heights. The actress appeared at a special Q&A event for creators at Claridge’s on February 6, alongside director Emerald Fennell. The appearance was part of the film’s global press run, according to reports from the event.

For the outing, Robbie chose a bold fashion moment. She wore a black leather corset paired with a matching mini skirt. The look came from Vivienne Westwood’s Fall 1998 collection and was finished with Christian Louboutin heels. A day earlier, Robbie and her co-stars, including Jacob Elordi, attended the UK premiere of the film, where they were caught in rainy weather outside the venue.

The new movie is a fresh take on Emily Brontë’s classic novel. Robbie plays Cathy opposite Elordi’s Heathcliff. The story focuses on their intense and troubled relationship, which grows darker as the film unfolds. Speaking during press events in London, Robbie said she felt confident going into the project because of the strong creative team behind it.

We had the most amazing screenplay and we had the most incredible designers designing these shots and these sets and these costumes, she told Bang Showbiz. It’s like we were just given all the ingredients to do something amazing.

Director Emerald Fennell has also shared her approach to the film. She explained that she wanted the movie to reflect the feeling of reading the book for the first time, rather than sticking closely to past versions. The film is set to be released in theaters on February 13.

The cast includes Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, and Alison Oliver. Music for the film was created by Charli XCX, who recorded a full album for the soundtrack. The movie was produced by MRC and LuckyChap Entertainment, Robbie’s production company.

Outside of this project, Robbie remains busy. She recently wrapped A Big Bold Beautiful Journey with Colin Farrell and is working behind the scenes on a Monopoly movie. Elordi is also booked and busy, with recent roles in Frankenstein.

Margot Robbie continues to choose bold projects and strong creative partners. Her mix of fashion, acting, and producing shows she is fully in control of her career right now. This version of Wuthering Heights feels risky, but that may be what makes it interesting. What do you think about this new take on the classic story? Share your thoughts in the comments.
