Martha Stewart has made it clear that Heated Rivalry is not for her. The 84-year-old lifestyle guru recently spoke about the steamy hockey drama on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams, admitting she isn’t part of the show’s fanbase.

“I tried, I tried,” Stewart said. “It doesn’t turn me on. That’s not my stuff.” Instead of romantic sports dramas, Martha prefers stories about crime and family feuds. She called out the hit mob series MobLand as her personal favorite.

“MobLand’s my stuff,” she explained. “I love MobLand.” She didn’t hold back her praise for the show’s stars either. “Pierce Brosnan? And Helen Mirren? Oh and Tom Hardy, he’s my man!” she said. Martha also gave credit to the series’ executive producer and director, Guy Ritchie, calling MobLand “the best thing on TV in 2025.”

While Martha isn’t watching, plenty of other celebrities have fallen for Heated Rivalry, the Crave and HBO Max series based on Rachel Reid’s Game Changers book series. Stars like Pedro Pascal, Ayo Edebiri, and Haley Lu Richardson have praised the show for its gripping story and emotional gay romance.

Heated Rivalry follows Canadian hockey player Shane Hollander, played by Hudson Williams, and Russian player Ilya Rozanov, played by Connor Storrie. The two are rivals on the ice but begin a secret relationship off it. The show has drawn attention for its explicit scenes and its honest portrayal of LGBTQ romance. Its popularity has already led to a second season and inspired another book.

Despite the series’ growing fandom, Martha Stewart isn’t changing her viewing habits. She’s happy sticking with her preferred drama filled with mob intrigue and cinematic legends, leaving the hockey love story for fans who enjoy a steamy sports saga.
