Eva Mendes is proving she is still her husband’s number one fan as she celebrates Valentine’s Day with a series of playful and supportive social media updates. The 51-year-old actress took to Instagram to share a collection of bedroom photos dedicated to Ryan Gosling, offering a rare and stylish glimpse into their private bond.

In the images, Mendes strikes several poses while wearing an oversized T-shirt that serves as a walking billboard for Gosling’s highly anticipated sci-fi epic, Project Hail Mary. The shirt features a graphic of the 45-year-old actor in his astronaut suit, accompanied by the bold promotional phrase Believe in the Hail Mary.

Despite the casual nature of the oversized tee, Mendes opted for a high-glam look, featuring dramatic smoky-eye makeup, glossy lips, and her signature voluminous brown curls. She captioned the carousel of photos with a simple but sweet message, writing For my Valentine.

Mendes didn’t stop at just the photos, as she also used her Instagram Stories to express her excitement for the upcoming film. She shared a touching video of a father and son reacting to the movie’s latest trailer, which debuted during the recent Super Bowl broadcast.

Expressing her own emotional connection to the project, she wrote that the clip was so heartwarming and added that she hoped the public would love the film. The couple, who famously met while filming the 2011 crime drama The Place Beyond the Pines, have remained one of Hollywood’s most private yet beloved pairs.

They are currently raising two daughters, Esmeralda Amada and Amada Lee, and have spent much of the last year living in London while Gosling fulfills his demanding filming schedule. Mendes has frequently joked about her “retirement” from acting, though she recently teased that she might return to the screen if she could co-star with Gosling once again.

In Project Hail Mary, which is set for a global theatrical and IMAX release on March 20, Gosling plays Ryland Grace, a middle-school science teacher who wakes up on a spaceship with no memory of his identity.

As he slowly reconstructs his past, he realizes he is humanity’s last hope to stop a solar catastrophe. The film, based on the novel by Andy Weir, is directed by the visionary duo Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and co-stars Academy Award nominee Sandra Hüller.

Gosling’s schedule remains packed as he continues to film Star Wars: Starfighter, another major sci-fi project that is expected to arrive in 2027. Meanwhile, Mendes has successfully transitioned into the world of business, serving as the co-owner and “CEO” of the home cleaning company Skura Style.

She also recently published a children’s book titled Desi, Mami, and the Never-Ending Worries, which draws on her own experiences with motherhood and anxiety. While they rarely walk red carpets together, their mutual support is often visible through these subtle, playful digital interactions.

Mendes even made headlines earlier this week for jokingly claiming she was “jealous” of Gosling’s CGI co-star in the film, a creature named Rocky, because the two spent so much time together on set.
