‘Stranger Things’ Stars Gather for Co-star’s Emotional Wedding Celebration
Maya Hawke recently turned a New York City winter into a scene of celebration, marrying musician Christian Lee Hutson in a surprise Valentine’s Day ceremony. The wedding, held on Saturday, February 14, at St. George’s Episcopal Church in Manhattan, served as a heartwarming reunion for the Stranger Things cast.
Just weeks after the hit Netflix series concluded its decade-long run with a massive three-part finale, the stars gathered to support one of their own. The guest list read like a roll call of Hawkins’ finest, with Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Sadie Sink, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Charlie Heaton all spotted navigating the city streets together.
They were joined by Maya’s legendary parents, Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, who stood proudly as their 27-year-old daughter began this new chapter. For fans who spent years watching these actors grow up on screen, seeing them celebrate together in real life was a poignant bookend to the show’s legacy.
The bride reportedly looked stunning in a sleeveless white gown paired with a dramatic, oversized feathery winter coat to combat the February chill. Her father, Ethan, had the honor of walking her down the aisle, while her mother, Uma, opted for a light blue gown for the occasion.
Following the intimate service, the group moved the festivities to The Players, a historic private members’ club in Gramercy Park, where the celebration continued long into the night.

The union with the 35-year-old Hutson comes after years of a relationship that was built on a foundation of creative partnership. The two met through their mutual love of music, with Hutson co-producing Maya’s critically acclaimed albums Moss and Chaos Angel.
In a 2024 interview, Maya reflected on the beauty of their bond, noting that I cannot recommend dating your friends highly enough because they truly know you as a human being.
While she has officially hung up her sailor hat as Robin Buckley, Hawke’s professional calendar remains incredibly busy. She is currently preparing for the release of the upcoming romantic comedy Wishful Thinking and the drama One Night Only.
However, her most anticipated future project is undoubtedly The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, where she has been cast as the brilliant and eccentric Wiress. Set to hit theaters later this year, this new prequel explores the 50th Hunger Games—the same games won by a young Haymitch Abernathy.
Hawke will be joined by a star-studded cast that includes Joseph Zada as Haymitch and Whitney Peak as Lenore Dove Baird. The film marks a significant step into another massive franchise for the actress.
Between her thriving music career and a slate of diverse film roles, Hawke is successfully carving out an identity that honors her family legacy while standing entirely on its own. As she balances her new life as a married woman with her status as one of Hollywood’s most sought-after young stars, it is clear that Maya Hawke’s post-Upside Down journey is just beginning.
