The little black dress, one of fashion’s oldest and most beloved staples, has been enjoying a massive revival for the past few years. In case anyone had forgotten its power, Sydney Sweeney just reminded us exactly why the LBD is here to stay.

While doing press in New York City for her horror film Immaculate, the actor stepped out in three different versions of the dress, proving it remains the most interesting outfit choice on the rack. Her first look was a structured long-sleeved mini from Versace’s Spring 2024 collection.

The dress featured an exaggerated hourglass silhouette with elevated shoulder pads and a nipped waist that commanded attention. Styled by Molly Dickson, Sweeney paired the look with sheer Calzedonia tights and black Gianvito Rossi pumps, breaking up the monochrome with gold and diamond jewelry.

Sweeney’s next outfit was a unique creation from Khaite that felt like a mix between a biker aesthetic and retro glamour. This ribbed knit wool and leather midi dress featured a sleeveless mock-neck top and a knit drop waist cinched with silver buttons. She gave the look even more edge with a pair of pointy black leather boots covered in silver buckles and a sleek black croc-embossed clutch.

She wrapped up her marathon day with a red-carpet appearance and a live taping of the Happy Sad Confused podcast with Josh Horowitz. To discuss her career journey—especially her jump from the lighthearted Anyone but You to the dark world of Immaculate—she wore a stretchy dress featuring a sheer floral lace cutout at the waist and a silky ruffled skirt.

At 28, she has successfully transitioned from her breakout roles in Euphoria and The White Lotus into a full-fledged movie star and producer. Fans recently saw her in the psychological thriller The Housemaid, where she starred alongside Amanda Seyfried as a live-in maid who discovers dark secrets in a wealthy household.

The actress is currently preparing for several high-profile projects, including the sports biopic Christy, where she will transform into 1990s boxing champion Christy Martin. She is also set to star in Eden, a survival thriller directed by Ron Howard that features an incredible cast including Jude Law, Ana de Armas, and Vanessa Kirby.

Adding to her diverse slate, she will headline a live-action Gundam movie for Netflix and the period drama The Custom of the Country. Beyond the big screen, Sweeney has been making headlines for her recent romantic life and her business ventures.

She was recently spotted in Los Angeles with music manager Scooter Braun, fueling rumors about a high-profile relationship that has kept the internet talking for weeks. On the business side, she just launched her new lingerie brand, Syrn, which she promoted with a viral—and controversial—stunt involving the Hollywood Sign.
