Charlize Theron turned heads when she arrived at the Baby2Baby Gala back in 2024. She attended the event in a breathtaking ivory and black ensemble. The actress, 49, chose a custom Schiaparelli gown that featured a plunging halter neckline and an external black corset with delicate white detailing.

The contrast between the structured bodice and the flowing Grecian-style skirt perfectly captured the brand’s signature blend of high fashion and surrealist edge. Theron was the guest of honor at the Los Angeles event, receiving the prestigious Giving Tree Award for her career-long dedication to humanitarian efforts.

Through her organization, the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, she has worked tirelessly to combat HIV and gender-based violence while championing LGBTQ+ rights and youth development. Her look for the night was completed with bold gold statement earrings and a side-parted, sleek hairstyle that highlighted her peachy makeup palette.

The actress seemed relieved to trade her casual home attire for the high-profile red carpet, sharing a series of photos on social media to commemorate the evening. In her caption, she joked that she was finally out of my sweats while extending her gratitude to designer Daniel Roseberry and the Schiaparelli team.

The gala, which supports children living in poverty, remains one of the most significant events on her annual philanthropic calendar. As she moves into this year, Theron’s schedule is packed with major projects that showcase her range, from intense action to epic fantasy.

This April, she is set to star in the Netflix survival thriller Apex, directed by Baltasar Kormákur. The film features Theron as a rock climber who finds herself hunted in the wilderness, starring alongside Taron Egerton and Eric Bana in what is being described as a high-stakes “cat-and-mouse” drama.

The biggest highlight of her year, however, is her role in Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated epic The Odyssey, scheduled for a July 17 release. Theron will portray Circe, the powerful and enigmatic witch-goddess, in a massive ensemble cast that includes Matt Damon as Odysseus, Anne Hathaway as Penelope, and Tom Holland as Telemachus.

The $250 million production also features Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, and Lupita Nyong’o, marking Theron’s first collaboration with the visionary director. Fans are also eagerly awaiting her return to the high-octane world of the Fast & Furious saga.

She is expected to reprise her role as the master hacker Cipher in the eleventh and final installment, Fast Forever, which is currently targeting a June 2026 release to coincide with the franchise’s 25th anniversary. After the cliffhanger ending of the previous film, her character’s uneasy alliance with the Toretto family is set to be a major focus of the series’ grand finale.

In addition to these blockbusters, Theron recently celebrated the release of The Old Guard 2 on Netflix, which finally premiered in July 2025 after a lengthy post-production process. Between her work as a producer through her company, Denver and Delilah, and her continued commitment to her humanitarian projects, Theron remains one of the most powerful and versatile figures in the entertainment industry.
