Charli XCX stole the spotlight at the Berlin premiere of The Moment during the 76th Berlinale International Film Festival. The British pop star arrived at the Zoopalast in a stunning strapless black gown that hugged her figure and featured a daring thigh-high slit, showing off her legs with every step.

The dress, made from shiny satin, combined old Hollywood glamour with a modern edge. The bodice was sleek and straight across, highlighting her shoulders and collarbone. The fabric gathered at her waist, creating soft folds that added movement to the look.

She paired the outfit with black pointed stilettos and kept her jewelry simple but sparkling, wearing a diamond choker layered with a second delicate necklace. Her hair was worn long and glossy in soft waves, parted in the middle, and her makeup was understated with bronzed skin, soft eyes, and a nude lip.

Set against the bright blue Berlinale backdrop, Charli’s black gown stood out for its elegance and confidence. There were no flashy details, no big accessories—just a star fully in control of her style.

The premiere was for The Moment, a 2026 American mockumentary directed by Aidan Zamiri and co-written with Bertie Brandes. Charli stars in the film as a version of herself navigating the pressures of the music industry. “Sort of a hell version of myself,” Charli described her role, adding that the story “represents the realest depiction of the music industry that I had ever seen,” according to her statements reported by festival sources.

The movie also features Alexander Skarsgård, Rosanna Arquette, Kate Berlant, Jamie Demetriou, Hailey Benton Gates, and Isaac Powell. Several celebrities make cameo appearances, including Kylie Jenner, Rachel Sennott, and Julia Fox. The film satirizes fame and the corporate pressures on artists while also showing the vulnerabilities behind a pop star’s public persona.

Charli has been busy expanding her career beyond music. She recently released the companion album Wuthering Heights for Emerald Fennell’s film adaptation and has upcoming roles in I Want Your Sex and Erupcja. She also contributed music to the A24 film Mother Mary, working with Jack Antonoff and FKA twigs.

Her appearance in Berlin was one of the last major stops for promoting The Moment before the film’s wide release. Fans have praised her ability to make fun of her own celebrity and transition into acting. With multiple film projects and a new album already in the works, 2026 looks set to be a busy year for Charli.

Charli XCX’s move from the recording studio to the screen is exciting to watch. Can she pull off the mockumentary style? What do you think about her acting career so far? Share your thoughts in the comments.
