Jennifer Lawrence has always had a way of keeping it real, even while working at the very top of Hollywood. From blockbuster hits to indie dramas, she has managed to stay relatable and honest, showing fans a side of herself that isn’t polished or overly produced. Her 2023 feature with Interview magazine was a perfect example, giving a glimpse into her life as a new mom and how that changed the way she chooses projects.

The shoot, photographed by Collier Schorr, had a simple, high-fashion vibe that let Lawrence’s natural presence shine. During the interview with Cameron Diaz, she talked openly about balancing work with motherhood. “There’s no squeezing when you have a baby,” she said, explaining that family now guides all her career choices.

She added, “Is this worth being away from my child for half the day?” showing how motherhood has become her ultimate filter. Lawrence also reflected on her work in No Hard Feelings, her R-rated comedy, noting that she had always wanted to do a comedy but had to wait for one that was actually laugh-out-loud funny.

Since that magazine moment, Lawrence has been busy with bold and challenging roles through her production company, Excellent Cadaver. In 2025, she starred in Die My Love, a psychological drama directed by Lynne Ramsay with Robert Pattinson. The film premiered at Cannes and follows a young mother struggling with her mental health in rural Montana. Critics praised the film, calling it an eight-dimensional ride, and Lawrence earned a Golden Globe nomination for her performance.

Looking ahead to 2026, Lawrence is returning to one of the franchises that made her a household name. She will reprise her role as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, a prequel set 24 years before the original story. The film will also star Joseph Zada as a young Haymitch Abernathy, alongside Elle Fanning and Ralph Fiennes.

Lawrence is also taking on The Wives, a darkly funny murder mystery inspired by the Real Housewives shows. She is producing the project for Apple Original Films and A24, and she has said the story is a dream for someone who loves reality TV as much as she does. On top of that, she is preparing for her first time directing with a feature called 6 Little Numbers, a project she co-wrote. She admitted that stepping behind the camera makes her nervous, but she is excited for the challenge.

She is also collaborating with Martin Scorsese on What Happens at Night, and continues to explore character-driven satire, proving her versatility in film. From dystopian rebels to comedic housewives, Lawrence remains one of the few stars who can move effortlessly between worlds while staying grounded in honest storytelling.

Jennifer Lawrence has shown she can handle blockbuster fame, motherhood, and serious artistry all at once. Which of her upcoming projects are you most excited to see? Share your thoughts in the comments.
