Shia LaBeouf has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons lately, but new reports suggest his home life was turbulent long before his recent legal troubles in New Orleans. According to police records obtained by TMZ, authorities were called to the actor’s Los Angeles residence multiple times before his split from Mia Goth.

The documents detail various incidents, including calls for disturbances of the peace and even an alleged stalking situation that brought police to his doorstep. One specific call from November 2024 described a “husband and wife” disturbance where a woman could be heard on the 911 line repeatedly telling someone to just go as she tried to get her husband to leave.

While a male voice was heard cursing in the background, the call was eventually cleared without a formal police report being filed. The Pasadena City PIO did confirm that the incident involved the residents of the home, hinting at a difficult domestic environment months before the couple’s official separation.

Another unsettling incident occurred in August 2025, when a caller contacted police to report that an old friend was suffering from a mental health crisis and believed she was married to LaBeouf. This individual was reportedly murderously angry with him and was actively attempting to go to his home.

While the caller was simply a concerned fan who had seen the woman’s obsessive posts on Instagram, the police took the report seriously enough to document the threat to the actor’s address. These past disturbances have come back into focus following LaBeouf’s arrest in New Orleans on Monday, February 16.

The actor was taken into custody during Mardi Gras festivities after allegedly punching a bar employee, which sparked a larger brawl. He was subsequently charged with two counts of simple battery. The arrest follows his December relocation to the “Big Easy,” where he purchased a million-dollar Uptown cottage to start a new chapter following his breakup with Goth.

Despite the personal chaos and his recent arrest, LaBeouf is still a fixture in the film world, though his projects are shifting toward more independent and experimental territory. He recently finished filming The Rooster Prince, a project where crew members reportedly expressed concern over his intense mood swings.

Some sources on set attributed this to his method acting, as his character in the film suffers from mental health struggles, but the behavior was enough to leave some colleagues feeling uneasy. LaBeouf has several other projects lined up for the year, including the World War II drama Angel of Death, which he wrote and is set to star in under the direction of Jerzy Skolimowski.

He also appeared in David Mamet’s Henry Johnson and the boxing drama Salvable alongside Toby Kebbell. Additionally, there has been significant industry buzz regarding his involvement in an untitled project with director Abel Ferrara, which is expected to tackle the harrowing history of Auschwitz.

As LaBeouf navigates his latest legal hurdles, including a court appearance following the New Orleans brawl, his career remains as unpredictable as ever. Fans are left wondering if his recent move to Louisiana and his public conversion to the Catholic faith, having expressed a desire to become a deacon, will eventually lead to the stability he seems to be seeking.
