Throwback Miami Moment Camila Cabello Shows off in Cheeky Thong Bikini
Camila Cabello sent temperatures soaring in a yellow thong bikini as she hit the beaches of Miami back in September 2021. The Cinderella actress put on a very cheeky display as she basked in the sunshine, looking every bit the pop princess during her well-deserved downtime.
Heads turned as the songbird emerged from the water with her raven locks slicked back, her stunning figure taking center stage after a rejuvenating dip in the sea. The singer looked completely relaxed following a whirlwind schedule that had seen her attend the Met Gala and perform at the MTV VMAs.
Wading through the shallow depths of the ocean in her scalloped bikini, the hit-maker appeared peaceful and thoroughly at ease. Once she finished her swim, she made her way back to the sand with a hair clip in hand and a simple choker necklace to complete her natural, makeup-free look.
The Florida getaway served as a vital break for Camila, who had just made her Met Gala debut alongside her then-boyfriend, Shawn Mendes. A week prior, she had energized the VMA stage with a performance of her hit single Don’t Go Yet.
Despite her heavy workload, including a stint as John Legend’s advisor on The Voice, Camila was vocal about her newfound commitment to rest and mental health following the pandemic. In a candid message shared with fans around that time, the Cuban-American star admitted that she had nearly reached a breaking point before the global lockdown.
One of the biggest things I learned during the pandemic was the importance of REST, she remarked, describing her previous struggle with severe burnout. She confessed that she used to feel guilty about having days off because she felt she wasn’t being productive enough for her demanding career.

Prioritizing her well-being during quarantine changed her perspective on work-life balance and creative energy. She explained that by enjoying being lazy and focusing on her relationships, she started to naturally feel inspired, passionate, and way more creative.
She urged her followers to remember that humans are not robots, stating that rest is honorable, necessary, and sacred in a culture that often prizes overwork. Fast forward to February, and the superstar is once again balancing a major career with her signature zest for life.
On the big screen, Camila is expanding her filmography by joining the cast of the star-studded comedy Cut Off, directed by Jonah Hill. The film, which also stars Kristen Wiig, Bette Midler, and Nathan Lane, follows two wealthy siblings who are forced to survive after being financially severed from their parents.
It is currently scheduled for a theatrical release on July 17, further cementing her status as a Hollywood staple. Musically, Cabello has been teasing a new era that leans into R&B and soulful pop, following the experimental success of her 2024 album C,XOXO.
