Amanda Bynes was spotted in Los Angeles this past Wednesday looking noticeably different as she continues her health and wellness journey. The former star, who is set to celebrate her 40th birthday this April, showcased a slimmer figure while out on the town.
She wore a simple black cropped top that highlighted her physical transformation, paired with athletic shorts that revealed her collection of body art. Accompanying her on a shopping excursion was her partner, Zachary Khan, with whom she was seen walking arm-in-arm.
The 39-year-old has been very transparent with her followers about her recent 30-pound weight loss, attributing the change to her use of the medication Ozempic. She has explained to her fans that reaching her goal weight of 130 pounds is something she feels very strongly about to help her feel more confident in front of the cameras.
The path to this new chapter hasn’t been without its hurdles, as Bynes has been open about her past battles with mental health and the pressures of early stardom. She recently admitted that her weight had previously climbed to 180 pounds during a period of deep depression.

Her journey toward self-improvement began in late 2024 when she decided to move away from her previous unhealthy habits. She has noted that she is learning to practice “opposite action” to stay motivated even when she doesn’t feel like maintaining her fitness routine.
Beyond her physical changes, she has also been experimenting with her personal style, recently debuting a bold “Trap Star” tattoo on her hand and trying out new hairstyles. While many know her from her iconic early 2000s roles in films like Hairspray, Easy A, and She’s the Man, Bynes has largely been away from the acting world for over a decade.
