Yvonne Strahovski and Tim Loden Make Rare Appearance Together After 7 Years
Yvonne Strahovski has made a rare and celebratory return to the red carpet alongside her husband, Tim Loden, marking their first joint public appearance in over seven years. The 43-year-old actress was the guest of honor at the G’Day USA Arts Gala on Thursday, February 26, where she was presented with the Excellence in Film & Television Award.
Held at The Lot at Formosa in Los Angeles, the event celebrated the actress’s massive contributions to the industry and her roots in the Australian creative community. The prestigious honor was presented by her Bad Monkey co-star, Vince Vaughn, who spoke warmly about the tight-knit nature of Australian talent in Hollywood.
What an unbelievable community you have with supporting each other, Vaughn remarked during his introduction. It’s very unique and special that you guys have this community. Strahovski, clearly moved by the tribute, was seen smiling throughout the evening as she sat with Loden, whom she has been with since 2009.

While Strahovski is a fixture at major industry events, she and Loden have famously kept their private life out of the spotlight since their last red carpet appearance at the 2019 Golden Globes.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2017, have expanded their family significantly during their time away from the flashbulbs. They are now parents to three sons. Loden, also an actor, has occasionally shared the screen with his wife, appearing in episodes of her breakout hit Chuck.
The gala provided a rare glimpse into their enduring partnership, showing a couple that remains incredibly grounded despite the global fame brought on by Strahovski’s recent projects. The actress is currently at a major turning point in her career following the conclusion of The Handmaid’s Tale, which finished its sixth and final season in May 2025.
Her portrayal of the complex and often villainous Serena Joy Waterford earned her multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations over the show’s eight-year run. Fans are now eagerly awaiting her next moves, as she transitions from the dark, dystopian world of Gilead into more diverse and genre-bending roles.
She has already found significant success with the 2024 horror series Teacup, where she served as both the lead actress and an executive producer. Looking ahead to the rest of the year, Strahovski is set to appear as a series regular in the second season of Apple TV+’s Bad Monkey, playing a character named Delaney who acts as the County State Attorney.
This role reunites her with Vaughn and marks a shift toward a more darkly comedic tone compared to her previous dramatic work. Additionally, Strahovski is slated to star in and executive produce A Woman of Intelligence, a project based on the bestselling novel by Tanis Rideout.
She is also rumored to be involved in the upcoming spin-off series The Testaments, though details regarding her potential return to that universe remain under wraps. Between her thriving career and her busy home life with three young boys, the Australian star continues to prove she is one of the most versatile and resilient talents of her generation.
