The cast of Peaky Blinders gathered in Birmingham for the global premiere of its upcoming film continuation, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, with Rebecca Ferguson making one of the biggest impressions of the night.

The event took place at Symphony Hall and marked an important step toward the film’s release. The movie will arrive in select cinemas on March 6, 2026, before landing on Netflix on March 20.

Ferguson attended alongside co-star Cillian Murphy, who returns as Thomas Shelby. While Murphy opted for a classic tailored look, Ferguson chose a bold gold gown that stood out on the red carpet. Her appearance drew attention as fans got their first real look at one of the film’s key new characters.

In the movie, Ferguson plays Kaulo. She is described as a medium with strong influence. The story hints that she may also become emotionally involved with Tommy Shelby.

The film continues the story several years after the series finale. Tommy is no longer in Birmingham at the start. He is living far from home during the time of World War II. However, his past soon begins to follow him again.

The movie brings back familiar faces and introduces new ones. Tim Roth joins the cast as Beckett. He plays a figure tied to British fascism. Some well-known names from the original series, including Sophie Rundle, Stephen Graham and Barry Keoghan, were not present at the premiere.

The film has been in the works for several years. Series creator Steven Knight first hinted at expanding the story beyond television back in 2021. The project was officially confirmed later.

Bringing this story back as a film feels like a smart move. It gives the creators more space to explore Tommy’s life after the series ending. The addition of a new character like Kaulo could also add a fresh dynamic to the story. What do you think about the return of Peaky Blinders as a movie?
