Maya Hawke and Christian Lee Hutson have made their first appearance as a married couple, marking a new chapter in their long-standing partnership. The newlyweds attended the Tibet House U.S. Benefit Concert in New York City on Tuesday, March 3, just weeks after their winter wedding.

The couple, who officially tied the knot on Valentine’s Day, did more than just walk the red carpet together. They took to the stage for a collaborative performance and were later seen sharing a cozy moment on a backstage couch.

For the evening, the 35-year-old Hutson opted for an all-black ensemble, while the 27-year-old Hawke chose a vibrant maroon jacket. Their appearance was a rare public display for a couple that has largely kept their romance away from the cameras since they first sparked dating rumors in 2023.

Before their relationship became romantic, the two were close friends and frequent creative collaborators for several years. This deep history served as a foundation for their engagement, which Hutson seemingly confirmed in early 2025 by referring to the actress as his fiancée during a radio interview.

Their February ceremony at St. George’s Episcopal Church in Manhattan was a star-studded family affair. Hawke’s A-list parents, Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, were both in attendance to support their eldest daughter on her big day.

Thurman, 55, even served as her daughter’s something blue by wearing a light blue floral dress paired with pearls. The bride herself wore a stunning boatneck gown with a voluminous tulle skirt, which she later paired with a winter coat for their Manhattan reception.

The wedding also served as a major reunion for the cast of Stranger Things. Actors including Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, and Gaten Matarazzo were all present to witness the nuptials of their longtime co-star.

While Hutson was previously married to singer Sharon Silva, Hawke has spoken openly about the benefits of falling for a friend. She previously shared on the Zach Sang Show that a friend-turned-partner understands you as a real person rather than a piece of paper to project an image onto.

As of March, Maya Hawke is enjoying one of the busiest periods of her professional life following the massive success of the final season of Stranger Things. The hit series concluded its run with a three-part finale that culminated on New Year’s Eve 2025, officially closing the chapter on her fan-favorite character, Robin Buckley.

Fans can look forward to seeing her back on the big screen very soon in the surrealist romantic comedy Wishful Thinking. The film, which co-stars Lewis Pullman and Randall Park, is set to have its world premiere at the SXSW Film & TV Festival on March 12.

In addition to her film work, Hawke is also leaning further into her musical career with the upcoming release of her fourth studio album, Maitreya Corso. She is scheduled to embark on an international tour later this year, titled “An Evening With Maya Hawke,” which will feature many of the collaborative tracks she developed with her husband.

Hawke also has several major projects in post-production, including the historical drama One Night Only and a highly anticipated role in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. In the latter, she is set to play a younger version of the character Wiress, further expanding her presence in iconic cinematic franchises.

With her parents continuing their own high-profile careers and her new husband by her side, Hawke remains a central figure in the creative landscape of the year. Whether she is performing at Carnegie Hall or fronting a supernatural rom-com, she continues to balance her private happiness with her public artistry.
