Gayle King had fans laughing with a funny behind-the-scenes moment at Paris Fashion Week, showing that even media icons face the classic struggle of tight pants. The CBS Mornings host, 71, shared the clip on her Instagram while getting ready to attend the Chloé Fall/Winter 2026 show on March 5.
In the video, King is seen lying on her back in the backseat of a car, trying to zip up a pair of high-waisted trousers. Her longtime friend Oprah Winfrey, sitting next to her, couldn’t stop laughing as she filmed the attempt.

King’s appearance comes right after a major career milestone. On March 4, CBS confirmed she signed a multi-year deal to stay as co-anchor of CBS Mornings. Rumors of my demise were inaccurate and greatly exaggerated, King said in a statement, referencing Mark Twain. Her new deal also includes other projects that will expand her work across CBS platforms.
