Nicole Kidman (58) Returns to Her First Oscars Since Her Divorce in Dazzling Feathered Chanel Corset Gown
Nicole Kidman made a triumphant return to the Academy Awards stage on Sunday, March 15, marking her first appearance at the ceremony since 2023. The 58-year-old actress captivated the audience at the Dolby Theatre.
She wore a pale pink, strapless Chanel gown that featured elaborate sequin detailing and dramatic, feathered accents at both the peplum waist and the hem. Her look, styled with effortlessly soft waves created by Adir Abergel, offered a masterclass in classic Hollywood glamour.
Kidman’s presence was a highlight of the 98th Academy Awards, where she served as a presenter alongside her Moulin Rouge! co-star Ewan McGregor. The pair delighted fans by staging an impromptu 25th-anniversary reunion of their hit musical, even reciting lines from the iconic Elephant Love Medley before presenting the Best Picture award.
Kidman expressed that the ceremony has always felt like a homecoming, reflecting on how, as a young girl in Australia, the event represented the very heart of the industry she dreamed of joining.

In a recent conversation with Variety, Kidman touched upon her personal life following her divorce from Keith Urban, which was finalized in early January. Maintaining a focus on her well-being and her children, she shared, I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good.
She emphasized her commitment to her family, stating, What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that. Beyond the glamour of the Oscars, Kidman has maintained an incredibly busy professional schedule throughout the year.
She recently starred in the Amazon Prime thriller series Scarpetta, playing the title role of the celebrated forensic pathologist. Additionally, she is a key part of the ensemble for the Apple TV+ series Margo’s Got Money Troubles, which premieres in April and co-stars Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Nick Offerman.

Perhaps her most highly anticipated upcoming project is the return of her most iconic on-screen pairing. Kidman has officially wrapped production on Practical Magic 2, the sequel to the 1998 cult classic, in which she and Sandra Bullock reprise their roles as the witchy Owens sisters.
Directed by Susanne Bier, the film is scheduled for release on September 11 and will also feature returning cast members Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing alongside newcomers like Joey King and Maisie Williams.
Between her high-profile television dramas and her return to beloved cinematic worlds, Kidman continues to solidify her legacy as one of the most versatile and resilient performers in the industry.
Her ability to navigate both intense, character-driven work and larger-than-life blockbusters has ensured her place as an enduring figure in global entertainment. As she balances these major projects with her dedication to her daughters, Sunday and Faith, she remains as focused and driven as ever.
