Andrew Garfield (42) Surprises Fans with Dramatic New Look at ‘The Magic Faraway Tree’ London Premiere
Andrew Garfield surprised fans at the London premiere of The Magic Faraway Tree, showing a very different side of his style. The actor traded his usual sharp suits for a cozy, storybook-inspired look at the Odeon Luxe in Leicester Square. His outfit seemed to echo the magical, whimsical world of the Enid Blyton adaptation.
Garfield wore a moss-green knit cardigan with two cream-colored lambs on the chest, which quickly went viral for its charm. Underneath, he kept it simple with a white t-shirt. He paired the sweater with relaxed black trousers and chunky black boots, letting the bright green of the cardigan be the focus.
Fans also noticed a big change in Garfield’s appearance. He looked thinner and older, with a more angular jawline.

In The Magic Faraway Tree, Garfield plays Tim, a father who moves his family to the countryside and discovers a magical portal. Claire Foy stars as his wife Polly, with Nicola Coughlan as the sprite Silky and Rebecca Ferguson as the villainous Dame Snap. The film, directed by Ben Gregor, blends modern family life with the wonder of the original 1939 book.

Garfield has had a busy schedule after his 2024 hit We Live in Time. He has teased fans about Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027 but stayed tight-lipped about a potential Spider-Man return. Whatever response I’m having, is it exasperation? You’ll find out! he joked in a recent MTV interview.
Garfield also starred in the mystery thriller After the Hunt with Julia Roberts, directed by Luca Guadagnino, and is set to star in Voyagers, a biopic about Carl Sagan and Ann Druyan.
Outside of film, he remains active in the London theater scene, often visiting the National Theatre between shoots. Fans have watched him evolve from a young Hollywood favorite into a versatile, character-driven actor. Whether saving the multiverse or exploring magical forests, Garfield’s dedication to his craft is clear.
It’s fascinating to see Garfield embrace such a playful, different style for this premiere while showing a new, leaner look. What do you think of Andrew Garfield’s transformation and his role in The Magic Faraway Tree? Share your thoughts in the comments.
