‘Laguna Beach’ Reunion Trailer Reveals an Emotional Return for the Cast
The original stars of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County are reuniting on screen for the first time in two decades, and the anticipation among fans is electric. A trailer for the upcoming two-hour special, titled The Reunion: Laguna Beach, was released today, March 25, by the Roku Channel.
The footage suggests that while the cast has grown up, the emotional weight of their shared history remains just as powerful as it was in the early 2000s. The teaser opens with a nostalgic nod to the past, showing the cast gathered around an oceanside bonfire.
In a moment that immediately grabbed the attention of viewers, former rivals Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari are seen sitting side-by-side. The tension is palpable as Cavallari notes that they have never actually had a one-on-one conversation while being filmed.

When Cavallari asks her former adversary if she is ready for the long-overdue chat, Conrad offers a quick, deadpan response: “No.” This brief interaction sets the tone for a special that promises to address years of unresolved drama and public misconceptions.
Conrad reflects on the surreal nature of their rise to fame, describing the experience of being filmed in high school as a “really weird thing we went through.” For the cast, who were merely teenagers when MTV first began chronicling their lives, the reunion serves as a therapeutic look back at their formative years.
The show originally ran for three seasons, concluding in 2006 after cementing itself as a cultural phenomenon defined by love triangles and coastal aesthetics. The new trailer hints at a journey toward healing, with various members sharing tears and laughter as they revisit iconic locations.
The guest list for the special includes nearly all the core members of the original lineup who helped define a generation of reality television. Fans can expect to see Stephen Colletti, Lo Bosworth, Trey Phillips, and Talan Torriero, along with Christina Schuller and Morgan Olsen.
Other returning faces include Dieter Schmitz, Jessica Smith, and Alex Hooser, many of whom have not appeared together on camera since the series ended. Since stepping away from the show, Lauren Conrad has successfully transitioned into a lifestyle mogul, focusing on her fashion lines at Kohl’s and her non-profit marketplace, The Little Market.
Meanwhile, Kristin Cavallari has remained a fixture in the reality space with her own series, Very Cavallari, and her booming jewelry brand, Uncommon James. Stephen Colletti has also found success in the entertainment industry, moving into acting and producing with projects like Everyone Is Doing Great, which he co-created.
He and Cavallari also co-host a popular rewatch podcast, Back to the Beach, where they have been candidly breaking down the show’s most infamous moments. Their professional partnership has been a key factor in bringing the rest of the cast together for this Roku Original event.
The special is being executive-produced by the series’ original creator, Liz Gateley, who aimed to capture the genuine bond shared by the group despite their past conflicts.
Comedian Casey Wilson will serve as the host, guiding the cast through behind-the-scenes stories and their modern-day reactions to the footage that made them famous. This milestone event is positioned as a final farewell to the town and the friendships that paved the way for the modern reality genre.
The Reunion: Laguna Beach is scheduled to premiere on April 10 and will be available to stream for free on The Roku Channel. Fans are already flooding social media with theories about which secrets will finally be revealed during the two-hour broadcast. It remains to be seen if twenty years of perspective will finally put the “Team Lauren” versus “Team Kristin” debate to rest.
