50 Cent is once again stirring the pot on social media, this time aiming his comedic sights at Usher’s recent reflections on Diddy. The G-Unit mogul took to Instagram on March 25 to react to a headline regarding Usher’s refusal to condemn his former mentor despite a wave of legal controversies.

“Usher like 😳 I don’t want people to know what he did to my ass. I’m a grown man now my ass is off limits. LOL,” 50 Cent wrote, injecting his signature brand of provocative humor into the ongoing conversation.

The catalyst for this online jab was an interview Usher gave to Jabari Young for the Forbes series The Enterprise Zone. During the sit-down, the R&B legend made it clear that he chooses to look at Sean “Diddy” Combs through a lens of professional legacy rather than current legal headlines.

While acknowledging that every person has shortcomings, Usher emphasized the monumental role Diddy played in establishing a path for Black entrepreneurs in the entertainment industry.

“In many ways, I think certain people are prosecuted and maybe not recognized for the greatness that they offer,” Usher stated during the interview. He further explained that his personal history with the Bad Boy Records founder doesn’t match the negative public perception currently circulating.

“I don’t have anything negative to say about Sean Combs because my experience was not what the world has seen and how he’s been misrepresented,” he added, doubling down on his support.

Usher’s ties to Diddy go back to his teenage years when he lived with the mogul in New York to learn the ropes of the music business. He credits that period for instilling a sense of discipline and business sharp-wittedness that defined his own storied career.

However, his choice to defend Diddy’s cultural contributions comes at a time when Combs is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence on prostitution-related charges and facing numerous civil lawsuits.

While 50 Cent is known for his relentless trolling, other industry peers have recently come forward to share a much warmer perspective on the rapper’s character. Mary J. Blige, a longtime friend and star of the hit series Power Book II: Ghost, sat down with Big Boy’s Neighborhood.

She described him as an exceptional collaborator and a “great boss,” praising his consistent effort to provide high-quality career opportunities for those in his circle. Blige jokingly noted that while she loves being on his good side, she is well aware of how “lethal” he can be toward those who cross him.

Outside of the social media feuds, 50 Cent is preparing for massive ventures later this year. He recently announced a $100 million partnership with Robert Earl to launch PH Live, a major new entertainment hub in Times Square set to open later this year.
