Cardi B Shares Why She Decided Not To Go Through With Butt Surgery
Cardi B is talking openly about her journey toward body confidence while dismissing recent speculation about a return to the operating room. During an appearance on the March 24 episode of Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, the 33-year-old rapper confirmed that she has scrapped her previous plans to undergo a butt reduction procedure.
The artist explained that while she had toyed with the idea earlier this year, she has ultimately decided that the recovery time would interfere with her current momentum. The discussion served as a follow-up to comments she made in February, where she jokingly told her friend Kehlani that she planned to vanish to Colombia for surgery after her current tour.
“After this tour, I don’t want to hear nobody for three months. I’m going to Colombia… I’m taking this ass out!” she had originally claimed backstage. However, she told hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones that she was merely speaking in the moment and has since reconsidered the necessity of the change.
A significant factor in her change of heart is her current sense of fulfillment as a mother of four. Cardi, who welcomed her youngest son with NFL player Stefon Diggs in late 2025, noted that her perspective on her appearance has shifted following her most recent pregnancy.
“I do have a whole bunch of cellulite because I don’t know if it’s the age or I don’t know if it’s the fact that I have four kids, but I feel really good,” she admitted, emphasizing that she is learning to embrace her physical evolution.
The Grammy winner also candidly addressed the reality of her physique, noting that even the features fans perceive as flawless are not always perfect to her. While she once felt a strong desire to “take a little bit of butt out,” she now feels completely at ease with her natural imperfections.
This newfound comfort comes at a time when she is balancing the launch of her new haircare brand, Grow-Good, with one of the most demanding schedules of her professional life. Currently, Cardi B is in the middle of her highly successful Little Miss Drama Tour, which serves as her first major arena headlining run in over six years.
The 35-city trek is in support of her sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, which debuted at the top of the charts in late 2025. The tour features a high-concept stage design and has broken records for the highest-grossing performances by a female rapper in several major North American cities.
Looking toward the latter half of the year, the rapper is showing no signs of slowing down her creative output. She recently confirmed that she is skipping a deluxe version of her current album to focus entirely on a third studio project, which she hopes to release by early 2027.
