Adam Sandler and Salma Hayek Just Turned a Rainy Amusement Park Shoot Into the Cutest ‘Grown Ups 3’ Photos Yet

New Jersey has spent much of the summer playing host to one of Netflix’s most anticipated comedy reunions, with locals across multiple towns getting front-row seats to a production that’s turned nearly every parking lot and diner into a temporary movie set. That local buzz has only grown louder with each new location, and the latest stop delivered some of the most charming images of the shoot so far.

That reunion has drawn plenty of attention as Adam Sandler brings the original cast back together for the first time in over a decade, with fans tracking the production’s movements almost like a scavenger hunt across the Garden State. From Woodbridge to Morristown to Ridgewood, the ‘Grown Ups 3’ crew has kept locals on their toes all summer long.

The latest stop on that tour landed the cast at Keansburg Amusement Park, where new photos show Sandler and co-star Salma Hayek Pinault filming scenes together while bundled up in bright orange ponchos, according to Page Six. The pair appeared to be riding out a rainy shoot day on one of the park’s water-adjacent attractions, with the playful, soaked-through images quickly making the rounds online.

Hayek Pinault’s presence on set continues her longstanding run in the franchise, having played Roxanne Chase-Feder since the original 2010 film. Her character’s return alongside Sandler’s Lenny Feder helps anchor the reunion, joining the rest of the returning ensemble that’s made this threequel one of the most talked-about comedy sequels in recent memory.

Netflix officially confirmed on August 6 that production was underway in New Jersey, bringing back Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Maya Rudolph, and Maria Bello alongside Hayek Pinault. Steve Buscemi, Shaquille O’Neal, Colin Quinn, Tim Meadows, Cheri Oteri, and Nick Swardson round out the confirmed cast list as well.

The Keansburg shoot follows weeks of production stops across the state, including Colonia, Morristown, Madison, and Maplewood, with Keansburg’s mayor previously confirming filming was expected to reach the borough over the Labor Day weekend stretch. That multi-town approach has made this one of the more visible film shoots New Jersey has hosted in recent memory, with locals frequently sharing sightings and photos as the production moved through their neighborhoods.

According to the film’s plot, the story reportedly follows the aging friend group as they travel to Europe to scatter the ashes of a close friend, a premise that will take production well beyond New Jersey and into locations including Boston, Italy, and France before wrapping.

Sandler co-wrote the script alongside longtime collaborator Tim Herlihy, who also worked on ‘Grown Ups 2,’ while Kyle Newacheck, who most recently directed Sandler’s ‘Happy Gilmore 2,’ is handling directing duties this time around. No release date has been announced yet for the film, which marks the franchise’s first new installment in over 13 years.

Between the neon ponchos, the amusement park backdrop, and the sheer nostalgia of seeing this cast reunited, these latest photos have only added to the growing anticipation for the film. Fans clearly aren’t tired of watching this group get soaked together, even more than a decade after the last movie hit theaters.
