With ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ less than 2 months away, Marvel Studios is preparing a final push to keep the hype train rolling. The campaign has already been massive, kicking off with 4 different teaser trailers that each focused on a different hero and confirmed Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers would return, followed by 2 full-length trailers. The film arrives in US theaters on December 18, with the UK getting it a couple of days earlier on December 16.

The appetite for new footage has been record-breaking. The first full trailer racked up 503 million views in its first 24 hours, making it Disney’s biggest trailer launch ever and the second-biggest in history behind ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ at 719 million. It also blew past ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ at 365 million and ‘Avengers: Endgame’ at 289 million, while helping drive $16.5 million in first-day ticket sales.

Now, fans hungry for more may finally have a timeline. According to insider @Cryptic4KQual, the next ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ trailer is expected to arrive around mid-November. The scooper also claimed there will be more concession reveals next week, a new promo releasing during Diwali week, and an exclusive look on Disney+ next month.

That would give Marvel a steady drip of content heading into December. If the reports are accurate, the trailer probably won’t be the final one, since studios often release a final trailer about a week before a film hits theaters.

As with any insider report, it’s worth keeping expectations in check. Marvel has not confirmed any of these plans, and fans have learned to approach trailer rumors with caution.

The latest report comes after a bit of a rollercoaster for fans. Rumors had claimed a new trailer would drop on Friday, October 23 at 9 a.m. ET, but Marvel never confirmed it. Another insider, ProjectHurts, had also pointed to a new trailer arriving in October.

Instead, fans got a special preview during Game 1 of the World Series, which turned out to be a pretty standard promo with new scenes spliced alongside real baseball players. It wasn’t the extended clip some had expected, and it was largely aimed at a general audience rather than hardcore fans who’ll buy tickets regardless.

Not everyone was thrilled. Some viewers felt the spot offered little new information beyond a few brief clips, which only intensified the demand for a proper trailer. The plot remains largely under wraps.

The official synopsis teases beloved heroes from 3 distinct universes set on a deadly collision course against an existential threat unlike anything they’ve faced. Some expect a new trailer to focus more on Doctor Doom, potentially revealing more about his backstory and the time he spent with his family.

There’s a lot riding on this campaign. Some observers argue the MCU needs a big success after the underwhelming commercial reception of ‘Thunderbolts*’, ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ and ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’.

The box office stakes couldn’t be higher. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ shares its December 18 opening with ‘Dune: Part Three’, and the combined weekend is expected to potentially surpass the $402 million total from when ‘Endgame’ opened.

With concession reveals, a Diwali promo, a Disney+ exclusive, and a new trailer all reportedly on deck, Marvel seems intent on dominating the conversation until opening day. For fans, the countdown to mid-November has officially begun.
