Xochitl Gomez has been building an eclectic résumé ever since she leapt into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actress made her big-screen debut as multiverse-hopping America Chavez in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’, a role that marked the franchise’s first Latinx queer character. She has since shown off her range on the dance floor, winning season 32 of ‘Dancing with the Stars’, and on television in ‘Boston Blue’.

Her next project takes her into a very different world. Gomez lends her voice to Warner Bros. Pictures Animation’s ‘The Cat in the Hat’, the studio’s first full-length animated feature, which arrives in theaters on November 6.

Now the actress has stepped out to celebrate the film. As MCU – The Direct highlighted, Gomez arrived at the Los Angeles premiere of ‘The Cat in the Hat’, posing in front of the movie’s bright blue backdrop.

She wore a strapless plum satin gown with a sweetheart neckline, paired with a delicate pearl necklace featuring a small pendant. Her hair was styled half-up with a bow and soft bangs, giving the look a playful, polished finish that suited the whimsical occasion.

Gomez also posed alongside fellow cast members on the carpet, with fans quickly reacting online. One commenter joked about how reliably she shows up whenever there’s a movie premiere, a nod to her enthusiasm for big Hollywood nights.

In the film, Gomez voices Gabby, one of 2 siblings who are struggling with a move to a new town, alongside Tiago Martinez as her brother Sebastian. America Ferrera voices their mother.

Their lives are turned upside down when the Cat arrives, bringing mischief, magic, and mayhem. In this version, the Cat is an agent of the I.I.I.I. who is given his toughest assignment yet as a last chance to prove himself and keep his job.

Bill Hader leads the film as the Cat in the Hat, joined by an impressive ensemble. The cast includes Quinta Brunson, Matt Berry as the Fish, Paula Pell, Giancarlo Esposito, Bowen Yang, and Tituss Burgess.

The film is written and directed by Alessandro Carloni and Erica Rivinoja, with DNEG providing the animation. It has been rated PG for action, some peril, mild language and rude humor.

‘The Cat in the Hat’ was originally set for February 27 before Warner Bros. moved it to November 6. The studio said the later date offers a long runway for family audiences, following in the footsteps of November hits like ‘Frozen’, ‘Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch’ and ‘Home Alone’.

The film is also the first in a planned Warner Bros. Pictures Animation series of Dr. Seuss adaptations, making its performance especially important for the studio. Beyond ‘The Cat in the Hat’, fans continue to wonder when America Chavez might return to the MCU. Gomez has been rumored for ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, though Marvel has not confirmed her involvement.

For now, she’s enjoying a new chapter in animation. With a beloved Dr. Seuss character leading the way and a family-friendly holiday release, Gomez’s latest project could introduce her to an entirely new generation of fans.
