‘The Hunger Games’ Star Jennifer Lawrence Confirms She Had Breast Augmentation, and She’s Already Planning Her Next Procedure
Jennifer Lawrence has never been one to dodge a candid question, and her openness about cosmetic surgery has made her a refreshing outlier in Hollywood. While plenty of stars either sidestep the topic or flatly deny having anything done, the Oscar winner has been walking fans through her plans before and after the fact.
That honesty first made headlines in October 2025, when Lawrence spoke with The New Yorker about how her body changed after welcoming her second child with husband Cooke Maroney in April 2025. She explained that her body largely bounced back after her first pregnancy, but not after her second, and revealed she was planning a breast augmentation for that November.
Now the 36-year-old has confirmed she went through with it. In a new interview with The Cut published on October 27, Lawrence confirmed her breast augmentation and revealed she already has her next procedure in mind: a facelift sometime in the future.
She tied her choices to her life as a mother of 2, telling the outlet she wants to be a sexy mom. Lawrence explained that at school drop-off, she wants to look like a woman who has it all together, even on mornings when she’s just woken up and doesn’t feel that way at all.

Lawrence has been refreshingly specific about what she will and won’t do. She previously said she isn’t a fan of fillers because of how they tend to read on camera, though she has used Botox on occasion while being careful not to limit her expressiveness as an actress.
She has also admitted she would love to try buccal fat removal to slim her fuller cheeks and highlight her jawline. However, she has said she’s hesitant to go through with that particular procedure.

Her openness comes after years of public scrutiny over her appearance. Before her 2025 New Yorker interview, a viral video from Paris Fashion Week sparked weeks of rumors about her face and body.
At the time, Lawrence made it clear she has no problem with plastic surgery, and argued that the vitriol around her looks was proof of how harshly female celebrities are treated as they age. She joins a growing list of stars who have spoken openly about cosmetic enhancements, including Lily Allen and Kris Jenner.

The timing of her latest comments isn’t a coincidence. Lawrence opened up while promoting Mes, her new haircare brand, which launched on October 27. Pronounced like “mess,” the brand was designed by Lawrence and engineered by biotech beauty company Arcaea. She first teased the launch on Instagram on October 16 with a carousel of hairstyles from her past film roles.
Lawrence told The Cut that creating a product gave her the same electric feeling she gets from building a character. She insisted the venture is a genuine passion project rather than a celebrity cash grab.

It has been a whirlwind few weeks for the actress. Alongside the Mes launch, Lawrence recently appeared on the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast, where she confirmed she’s returning as Katniss Everdeen in ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’.

That prequel arrives in theaters on November 20, reuniting her with Josh Hutcherson and Woody Harrelson. Between a new brand, a franchise homecoming, and her trademark honesty, Lawrence is once again dominating the pop culture conversation.
Whatever fans think of her choices, Lawrence’s willingness to talk about them openly has struck a chord. In an industry that often treats cosmetic work as a secret, she seems determined to take the mystery out of it.
