Colonel Sanders Strikes a Deal With Doctor Doom To Keep KFC Standing in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Promo
Doctor Doom is taking over more than the multiverse ahead of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. With Robert Downey Jr.’s villain at the center of Marvel’s next big team-up, opening in theaters on December 18, brands everywhere are finding ways to get in on the Doom-fueled excitement.
KFC has made one of the biggest moves so far. The chain announced a global collaboration with Marvel Studios built around Doom, complete with a themed menu, limited-edition packaging, and collectible figurines.
Now KFC is taking the joke a step further. As Avengers Updates shared, Colonel Sanders has announced that he’s signed a contract with Doctor Doom to protect all KFCs from being destroyed.
The accompanying image shows an aged document signed “Col. Harland Sanders” alongside a spot reserved for Doctor Doom, sealed with a green wax stamp bearing Doom’s mask. A faded KFC stamp appears at the bottom of the page, completing the villainous paperwork.

The contract ties directly into KFC’s campaign video. The spot shows Doom looming over a ruined New York City, where every restaurant has been flattened except a single KFC. A voiceover explains that KFC came to an agreement with Doom, and all it took was a burger worthy of his name. The campaign video runs in 15- and 30-second formats, and SuperHeroHype reported on a 1-minute version tied to KFC UK and Ireland.

That burger is the Doom Burger, which comes with Original Recipe, Spicy/Zinger, or Extra Crispy chicken. It’s topped with lettuce, pickles, cheese, Doom Cola sauce, and Smoky Green Mayo on a black sesame bun.
The rest of the menu includes Doom Dripped Wings, a Doom Bucket, Doom Loaded Fries, a Doom Shake and the boba-filled Doom Supreme Fizz. There’s also Doom Dust, a green seasoning with smoky charred lime and chili, plus Masked Mozza Melts.

The menu runs in select markets from November 9 through January 2027, across more than 100 countries. It won’t be available in the US, India, or China, and offerings vary by market.
Fans can also collect the Colonel Sanders Cosplay Collection, which includes 5 figurines of the Colonel dressed as ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ characters. The packaging gets a dark, iron-riveted design featuring Doom’s mask.

KFC calls the tie-in its largest global collaboration to date. “This is KFC’s most expansive joint venture to date,” Global CEO Scott Mezvinsky said in KFC’s announcement, adding that the aim is to welcome guests into an extension of the MCU.
Disney’s Holly Frank said the campaign gives fans a unique way to connect with the film before it reaches theaters. KFC has also partnered with DC Studios on ‘Supergirl’ promotions, including a Krypto bucket.

KFC is far from the only brand bowing to the Latverian ruler. Jack in the Box launched a Doomsday Dipping Box, Dave & Buster’s is turning into “Doom & Buster’s” starting November 16, and WWE has staged an ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ edition of Worlds Collide.
The Russo brothers’ film brings the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the Wakandans, the New Avengers and the X-Men together against Doom. In the real world, Doom’s marketing campaign seems to have won some major deals already.
