Netflix Surprises Fans With a Big Batch of New ‘K-pop Demon Hunters’ Bonus Episodes
‘KPop Demon Hunters’ has become one of Netflix’s biggest animated hits. Since debuting on the platform in June 2025, the film has spent 67 weeks in Netflix’s global top 10 lists, according to What’s on Netflix, with 1,145.8 million hours viewed and 687.1 million completed views.
Its reach has kept expanding beyond the original film. The story of HUNTR/X has inspired art books, mobile crossover events and an immersive experience, and the film is also getting a Criterion Collection release on November 3.
Now fans have plenty more to watch. As Pop Crave shared, Netflix has released 22 new episodes of ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ bonus content, including shorts, dance videos and games.
According to What’s on Netflix’s breakdown, the episodes span 4 new seasons across 2 companion titles and run about 78 minutes in total. The content was added on November 2. Most of the new episodes arrive in ‘KPop Demon Hunters PLAYlist’, a new kids’ title with 3 seasons and 13 episodes.
Season 1, ‘HUNTR/X Backstage Pass’, follows Rumi, Mira and Zoey behind the scenes in 6 episodes, including “Demon Dance Battle,” “Fashion Show Down” and “Day Off with Derpy.” Season 2, ‘KPop Toy Creations’, is a stop-motion series that uses toy versions of the characters to revisit key moments from the film.
Season 3, ‘Play Games With Us’, mixes dolls with fan challenges such as fruit slicing, a ramyeon race, and a snack wheel challenge. Dance fans get their own collection. ‘KPop Demon Hunters Bonus Content’ Season 2, titled ‘Dance Videos’, runs just under 29 minutes and teaches viewers the choreography from the film.

It features an animated clip of HUNTR/X rehearsing “How It’s Done,” along with official choreography videos for “How It’s Done,” “Golden,” “Takedown,” “Soda Pop” and “Your Idol.” The collection also includes “Inspired by” featurettes on Rumi, Mira and Zoey, each running about 4 minutes.
What’s on Netflix notes that the original bonus collection, released in March, ran under 10 minutes. The new ‘Dance Videos’ season is more than 3 times longer. The bonus content is part of a busy month for the franchise.
‘KPop Demon Hunters: The Immersive Experience’ opens at Netflix House Dallas on November 12 and Netflix House Philadelphia on November 20, with general admission at $39 and tickets for children aged 3 to 12 at $34.

Netflix has also signed Mattel and Hasbro as global co-master toy licensees. NME reports that an immersive gaming experience is set to launch in early 2027. A sequel has been officially confirmed, with Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans returning to direct. Kang has described the follow-up as bigger in scale and more eventful than the original.

No release date has been set. Bloomberg reported a 2029 target, though What’s on Netflix notes that Sony Pictures Animation’s president has signaled that timing is unlikely. With the sequel still years away, the new episodes give fans plenty of fresh ‘K-pop Demon Hunters’ content in the meantime. From stop-motion adventures to dance tutorials, Netflix is clearly looking to keep HUNTR/X in the spotlight.
