All the Wild ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Cameo Rumors That Actually Came True

Deadpool Co-Creator Rob Liefeld Reveals More Details About Beef with Disney

Deadpool & Wolverine” had its international release, and I have to say, it’s a solid movie. It successfully packed in numerous references to past X-Men films without making them the focal point. Speaking of references, there were rumors and confirmations about over 20 characters potentially appearing in the movie, and the list of rumors certainly lived up to the hype.

Months and even years before the film’s release, some truly wild speculations emerged about who might make an appearance. While not all turned out to be true, the most outrageous rumors did come to fruition in an epic fashion. The following list focuses exclusively on RUMORED cameos that were never officially confirmed, as many past X-Men characters were revealed through set images, leaks, and interviews. This list won’t include characters like Toad, Pyro, or Elektra. And a heads-up—if you want to avoid spoilers, STOP READING NOW!

Blake Lively as Lady Deadpool

For months, speculation swirled around whether Blake Lively or Taylor Swift would play Lady Deadpool, until it was confirmed that Swift wouldn’t appear in the movie. The focus then shifted to Lively and Reynolds himself. While Lively’s character never removes her mask in the film, she is credited in the role in the end credits. Additionally, her voice is featured.

Henry Cavill as Wolverine

This one was semi-confirmed; you just didn’t trust our sources. Months ago, there were rumors about Cavill appearing in the movie, and “Deadpool & Wolverine” delivered on that front. Cavill appears as a formidable, bike-riding Wolverine variant, and Deadpool even jokes about the rough treatment he received under DC Studios.

Channing Tatum as Gambit

Channing Tatum hinted at his involvement with the movie via social media, but many fans were skeptical. Tatum shows up in the Void, hiding with “The Others,” and has a significant role in the film. And that accent? It just goes to show that he was truly meant for this part!

Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15

Hunter B-15 was rumored to appear months ago, with fans initially speculating that Mobius would make the TVA cameo. While her role in the movie isn’t major, she shows up at the end to help wrap things up and gives Deadpool a perfect moment to reference the ‘Loki’ show.

Chris Evans as Human Torch

I have to admit, this was one of the wildest rumors I’d heard, and I only half believed it myself. So when I heard Evans’ voice, I was genuinely shocked. I was even more astonished to see that he had a substantial role in the movie, including a significant appearance in the post-credit scene.

Wesley Snipes as Blade

This cameo was the best and the one I least expected, especially after Snipes himself joked about it online. It was epic to see him reprise the role, and it was impressive to witness that he still has it! I’m beginning to warm up to the idea of him replacing Ali in the mainline MCU!
