What Men Want is a BET+ original starring the brilliant Taraji P. Henson. Her character, Ali, is a lawyer at a men-dominated firm. She is disappointed yet again and feels like her hard work goes unnoticed at the firm. Ali decides to take matters into her own hands and goes to a witch for advice, she drinks a potion that the witch recommended. This movie follows the story of a single mother that has a passion for cooking. Her day-to-day life mostly revolves around her son, whom she loves and believes that he is the best thing she ever did, was to raise and love him. She doesn’t want to enter the competition, believing that she is not skilled enough. Soon after that, her son tells her that he applied her to the competition because he believes in her.

This is also when she reunites with her old friend David, they go out for drinks and rekindle some old feelings. Ellie stops the affair just before it gets too far and decides to cut ties with David. This next movie is very much light-hearted, unlike the last one. Resort To Love follows an aspiring singer Christina who decides to move to the Mauritius island resort and work there as a wedding and entertainment singer. Her engagement broke off a year ago, and she’s decided to focus on herself for a while. All of her plans are disrupted when she realizes that her ex-fiancee is getting married on the same island. She will even have to sing for his wedding, this, of course, stirs up some old wounds, and she doesn’t know what to do at that point. On the island, she meets a local whom she really enjoys spending time with, and it seems like it might grow into something more.

This romantic comedy follows the unfolding of a marriage. A husband and wife are forced to stay at their once-shared home together until the divorce is settled. These constant battles for space make for a really fun watch, it essentially plays to its comedic strengths. The relationship between the husband and the wife is shown as such a rollercoaster of crazy and funny situations that we all watch unfold.

Deuces was released in 2017, and in this movie, we follow the story of a criminal organization ring that does all kinds of shady business. We have a couple of characters that lead this ring, and we see how difficult it is to regulate such an empire. Rob is supposed to get married to his fiancee Megan, but a lot of things don’t go according to plan. It is their wedding day, and Rob wakes up naked in a hotel elevator. He has to run to his wedding because it’s about to begin, but he finds his clothes anywhere. He tries to get to his wedding, but the police arrest him for public nudity. After he falls asleep, he wakes up the next day in the elevator again, and eventually, we see that the day keeps repeating as he is trying to get to his wedding.
