Bruce Wayne’s Appearance Teased For The Upcoming ‘Gotham Knights’ Pilot Episode
Although The CW’s Arrowverse isn’t what it used to be, that won’t discourage The CW to keep making DC content which, despite the viewership constantly dropping, is still some of the most-watched content on the network. Earlier this year, The CW announced that they’re developing a Gotham Knights TV show which will be separated from the Arrowverse.
The pilot episode is currently in production, although we won’t know if the series will be picked up before the CW Upfronts event next month. According to the video from the pilot episode’s set on TikTok, Bruce Wayne might appear in the episode as well, although it’s not known which actor will play him, and despite the fact that the series takes place after Batman’s alleged death.
Many actors played Gotham’s most-known billionaire in the past, on both big and small screens. Warren Christie played the character in The CW’s Batwoman series, but considering that Gotham Knights canonically won’t be a part of that universe (at least not on Arrowverse’s Earth-Prime), it’s unlikely that he’ll reprise the role in Gotham Knights.
Some of the actors confirmed for the series are Navia Ziraili Robinson, Olivia Rose Keegan, Anna Lore, Rahart Adams, Fallon Smythe, Oscar Morgan, Tyler DiChiara, and Misha Collins, who will play Gotham’s famous DA Harvey Dent.
“In the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights.” — Gotham Knights TV series, official synopsis
Next month we’ll know if the series will be picked up by the CW.
